Contact lenses are not an easy solution for every person suffering with vision problems. Some eye conditions make wearing contact lenses a difficult proposition. However, it does not rule out wearing contact lenses altogether.

Powers Eye Center can fit patients for medically necessary contact lenses. We use the latest scleral lens designs for patients with corneal problems from keratoconus, corneal disease or deformities, and corneal irregularities from refractive surgery such as radial keratotomy and lasik surgery. A scleral contact lens is a large diameter rigid gas permeable lens that rests on the sclera (white part of the eye). This lens is capable of correcting complex focusing problems while still being comfortable to wear.
